Symposium
The Symposium on “Advancing Diversity in the Academia” by academics at all levels will cover a wide range of issues with an opportunity for you to ask questions and learn from experiences of other academics from a full range of backgrounds and perspectives. It will start by delineating some of the specific documented issues that different gender, age, race, ethnicity, etc., in academia faces, followed by outlining some of the actions that they and their institutions can take to develop a climate that supports equality and diversity. The panelists will share their personal experiences and advice, and wrap up by a question and answer session.
