Shereen Ayub

Risk Communications Consultant,

WHO Western Pacific Regional Office (WPRO)

Ms Shereen Ayub is a Risk Communications Consultant for the WHO Western Pacific Regional Office (WPRO), currently supporting the Health Emergency Programme’s COVID-19 response in the Region.  

 

As a Risk Communications Consultant, Ms Ayub uses social listening tools to develop contextualized COVID-19 messaging. Ms Ayub also supports WPRO’s Listening & Evidence sub-pillar in monitoring and addressing COVID-19 mis- and disinformation in the Region.  

 

Ms Ayub has been based in East Asia for nearly a decade. Prior to joining the WHO, she worked in academia and public policy research. 

 

Ms Ayub holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations & Global Studies with a concentration in Science, Technology and the Environment from The University of Texas, and earned her Master of Public Health from The University of Hong Kong.
