Poster Presentation Guidelines

Abstract submitters can choose one of the following modes of presentation when submitting their abstracts via the Abstract Submission Portal (now closed):

Important note for student participants: Students must choose between entering their posters for the Global Health Student Poster Contest OR through the regular abstract submission portal to be considered for the general abstract review process.

An accepted abstract, by default, will be considered for oral and poster presentation. If the submitting author prefers poster presentation to oral presentation. Please indicate it when submitting the abstract.

The Conference’s Scientific Committee will make the selection of abstracts for oral or poster in August 2021. An abstract acceptance notification will be sent out to the submitting authors by 31 August 2021.

For those who opt for poster presentation, or are selected by the Scientific Committee for poster presentation, upon acceptance of your abstract you will have to:
1) Prepare an electronic poster
2) Register for the Conference
1. Prepare an electronic poster (e-Poster):
Please follow the instructions in the below i) Technical Guidelines for E-Poster Presentation; and the ii) E-Poster Official Template to prepare and upload your electronic poster.
Poster Submission Procedures:

Please save your file name as follows:
E-poster submission: Paper Number_Last Name.pdf (e.g.: 013_Smith.pdf)

Upload to the e-poster to the Dropbox Submission Portal.
Poster Submission Deadline:

15 October 2021 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time)
Do not wait until last minute to upload your poster.
Release of the Poster:

To ensure quality, poster submissions will be reviewed by the organisers before they are accepted for the final programme of the virtual conference.

Accepted posters will be uploaded to the virtual platform of the APRU Global Health Conference 2021. They will be available for viewing throughout the Conference.

Conference attendees will be able to communicate with the authors via email.

Accepted abstracts of authors who fail to submit their posters by the deadline will not be included in the programme nor publication.
2. Register for the Conference

All first authors of accepted posters are required to register for the conference. Accepted posters will be uploaded to the virtual platform of the APRU Global Health Conference 2021, and will be available for viewing throughout the Conference. Conference attendees will be able to communicate with the authors via email.

Registration for ALL first authors must be done online by 26 October 2021 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) [deadline extended] through the personalized link of abstract submission portal provided via email.

The abstract will be automatically withdrawn if no registration for the first author of the accepted abstract is received by the deadline.

For Non-students
Please indicate your delegate type in the Registration Category of the Registration system, and pay for the Conference (if applicable).

For Students
For student first authors of the abstracts accepted for poster presentation, their registration fees will be waived. Please select “Student First Author for Poster Presentation” in the Registration Category.

To facilitate our smooth arrangement, if you decide NOT to join the Conference for poster presentation or wish to update the first author of your abstract, please inform us your paper number by return email as soon as possible before the due date.
