Oral Presentation Guidelines

  • Abstract submitters can choose one of the following modes of presentation when submitting their abstracts via the Abstract Submission Portal:

  1. Oral presentation

  2. Poster presentation

 

  • An accepted abstract, by default, will be considered for oral and poster presentation. If the submitting author prefers poster presentation to oral presentation. Please indicate it when submitting the abstract.

  • The Conference’s Scientific Committee will make the selection of abstracts for oral or poster in August 2021. An abstract acceptance notification will be sent out to the submitting authors by 31 August 2021.

  1. Create a video of your talk with a maximum length of 10 minutes


Video Specifications:

  • Length: 8-10 minutes, maximum 10 minutes

  • Language: English

  • Format: .mp4 or .mov 

  • Minimum video resolution: 1280x720 pixels 

 

Requirements:

  • Only 1 video is allowed for each accepted abstract.

  • Deadline of abstract videos submission: authors will be asked to upload their video presentations by 15 October 2021 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time). Do not wait until last minute to make your recording(s).

  • Simple, user-friendly instructions and technical guidelines on creating and submitting video presentations will be provided upon acceptance of abstracts in August 2021.

 

Regulations

  • All personal data relating to personal information, e.g. patient and/or examination (e.g. date, time, place, patient name, patient birth date, unique ID, examiner name or ID, institution), must be removed from videos before submission.

  • The video must not include racism, discrimination, or any libelous or defamatory content. It must not violate any laws/regulations.

  • Material presented in videos should not violate any copyright laws. If videos/figures/graphics/images have been taken from sources not copyrighted by the author, it is the author’s sole responsibility to secure the rights from the copyright holder in writing to reproduce those videos/figures/graphics/images for both worldwide print and web publication. All reproduction costs charged by the copyright holder must be borne by the author.

  • Expenses associated with the submission and presentation of the video is the responsibility of the authors/presenters.

  • The submitted videos will become the Conference Organiser's property. They can be freely used in the context of APRU activities. Copyright still belongs to the creators.

  • To ensure quality, video submissions will be reviewed by the organisers and dependent on quality will be accepted for the final programme of the virtual conference.

  • Accepted abstracts of authors who fail to submit their videos by the deadline will not be included in the programme nor publication.

2. Register for the Conference

  • Registration of the Conference will open till 15 October 2021 (11:59pm, Pacific Time).

  • All presenting authors of accepted abstracts are required to register online and show up virtually at the Q&A sessions of their designated Parallel Breakout Sessions. Questions from the moderator and participants will have to be addressed.

  • Accepted abstracts of authors who have not registered and paid for the Conference will not be included in the programme nor publication.

  • For student presenting authors of the abstracts accepted for oral presentation, their registration fees will be waived. They will be offered free access to all programmes of the Conference from 15 to 18 November 2021.
